We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. This role involves performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and other duties. The Technician I can perform more advanced repairs under supervision and assists with repairs, learning additional skills and diagnostics. Work is regularly audited for quality, and high performance is expected.

DUTIES:

1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
2. Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, etc.
3. Manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck, conducting periodic reconciliation.
4. Maintain and operate company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections.
5. Communicate effectively with clients to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve issues.
6. Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
7. Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks.
8. Document work performed, parts used, and observations using company devices and applications.
9. Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
10. Work independently, managing your schedule efficiently.
11. Maintain productivity within standard repair times.
12. Obtain parts from approved vendors as needed.
13. Communicate with management for approvals and discuss repair findings.
14. Comply with safety, health, environmental policies, and regulations including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
15. Maintain the service truck, conduct safety checks, and daily inspections.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years' relevant experience.
• Own and supply necessary hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT physical and background checks; valid DOT medical card preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean 3-year MVR review.

Certifications to be obtained within 18 months:

• ASE T8 (PMI)

Preferred Certifications:

• ASE T4 (Brakes)

Hourly pay ranges from $28.70 to $43.03, with potential additional compensation.
