About Fleet Services: Based in Indianapolis, we are one of the largest fleet maintenance companies nationwide, providing on-site mobile services for trucks and trailers, along with services at over 50 locations. We support fleets with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, accident repair, and more, 24/7.

Position Overview: The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II performs licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics, under supervision. You will develop advanced mechanical skills and diagnostics, ensuring high performance metrics and compliance with safety policies.

Responsibilities

1. Perform scheduled maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on various vehicles in the field.
2. Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
3. Road test vehicles and document work performed accurately.
4. Manage parts inventory and operate company vehicles safely.
5. Communicate effectively with clients and support teams.
6. Complete all documentation and maintain safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years’ experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary for the job.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT background screening, physical, and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record.

Certifications & Skills

• Required: ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Preferred: ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, 608/609.
• Strong problem-solving, physical stamina, communication, and organizational skills.
