Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic in Odessa, TX to maintain fleet vehicles and handle client service calls. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

The role requires 9 years of Class 7 & 8 technician experience, a valid CDL and Medical card, and the ability to work flexible hours. Opportunity to grow within a leading US network of commercial vehicle dealerships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 9 years of experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility
• Current CDL and Medical card as required by the FMVSS

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment per company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and required inspections with documentation.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory the supplied tools for diesel engines and related equipment.
• Read job orders and assess vehicle operation to plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to determine malfunction and perform repair procedures.
