Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Texas is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain customer fleets, perform service calls at client locations, and complete diagnostics and repairs using manuals and technical data. You will handle cleaning, inspections, parts removal and reconditioning as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 9 years of Class 7 & 8 technician experience, and a current CDL with Medical card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current and valid CDL and Medical card per FMVSS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment per company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, inspections and documentation.
• Manage inventory on service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Read job orders, diagnose malfunctions, plan work procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical information to perform repairs.
• Perform diagnostics and component replacements (injectors, pistons, bearings, brakes, transmissions, etc.).
• Document work performed in company system and ensure safety checks are completed.
• Communicate repairs and future service needs to customers.
