Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform on-site preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. You will work with a company-provided service truck, use advanced diagnostic tools, and deliver safe, reliable service in a field-based role.

This position requires at least 3 years of hands-on diesel experience, strong communication with customers, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use handheld computers and diagnostic tools to identify issues and verify repairs.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
• Source parts and coordinate with vendors to keep operations moving.
• Maintain the company-issued service truck and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
