Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in the United States seeks Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support our clients on-site, servicing fleets and responding to calls at customer locations with on-the-spot expertise.

Tenured and certified technicians will maintain equipment, perform diagnostics, and manage tool inventories while delivering high-quality repairs and proactive maintenance to ensure safety and reliability of customer trucks and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and mandatory inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform duties daily.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible work schedule.
• Read job orders and diagnose vehicle operation to plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and perform repairs per technical info.
• Inspect safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs meet specifications.
• Document work accurately in the mobile service program and company systems.
