Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group is seeking a Mobile Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to heavy-duty tractors and equipment. You will operate a service truck, diagnose issues, and conduct on-site inspections, often in challenging conditions, while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
• Experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a Class B license.
• Fleet and mobile maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand and adhere to company policies.
• Basic set of hand tools up to 1½” and ½ drive pneumatics.
• Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Capable of maintaining accurate inventory control.
• Ability to maintain a strong safety environment at all times.
• Ability to work alone with little or no direction.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair light, medium, and heavy-duty tractors and equipment.
• Operate a service truck and conduct on-site inspections in various weather conditions.
• Diagnose and fix vehicle breakdowns and verify repairs with test drives.
• Perform tire services, replacements, and rotations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle requirements.
• Maintain vehicle records of services and repairs.
• Monitor costs and evaluate warranties and service options.
