Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group is seeking a skilled service technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to heavy-duty tractors and equipment. The role involves on-site work from a service truck, often in challenging weather, with emphasis on safety and accurate record-keeping.

You will diagnose vehicle issues, replace worn components, test drive to verify repairs, and manage costs through warranty options. This full-time position offers competitive pay and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Class B license.
• Experience in mechanical inspections and repairs preferred.
• Ability to work at customer locations in various weather conditions.
• Basic hand tools up to 1 1/2" and 1/2" drive pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on light to heavy-duty equipment.
• Operate a service truck and conduct on-site inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle breakdowns and verify repairs by test drives.
• Carry out tire replacements, rotations, and mounting/dismounting as needed.
• Maintain vehicle records and comply with federal/state vehicle requirements.
• Manage costs by using warranties and evaluating service options.
