Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician to service and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers at customer facilities nationwide. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventive maintenance with a “bay on wheels” setup, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Expect travel to customer sites, occasional nights/weekends, and adherence to safety guidelines. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT physical annually are required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Ability to diagnose wear conditions and make recommendations to customers.
• Experience in repair or parts shop preferred.
• Basic computer skills for service reports and checklists.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer facilities or distribution centers to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose wear conditions and make recommendations to customers.
• Follow Truck Service Standard Services and customer programs; ensure safety guidelines are followed.
