Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician to travel to customer facilities to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy duty trucks and trailers. The role uses a fully equipped “bay on wheels” to diagnose issues and provide efficient service, ensuring customers return to the road safely.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, pass a DOT physical annually, and be comfortable with flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Must pass a DOT physical examination annually.

Responsibilities

• Travel to a customer’s facility or distribution center to perform preventive maintenance services and repairs.
• Diagnose wear conditions and make recommendations to customers.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Follow Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed and report potentially unsafe situations.
