Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in customer yards and roadside calls. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with a company truck and top-tier tools, delivering safe, reliable service on the road.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of diesel experience, strong communication skills, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
• Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Handle emergency road service calls with speed and accuracy.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems to keep fleets running.
• Use diagnostic tools, handheld computers and precision instruments to identify issues quickly.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools and welding equipment to complete repairs correctly.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet standards.
• Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
• Take ownership of a company-issued service truck and perform inspections.
