Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in the field. You’ll diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance, often working alone at customer sites with a company service truck and tools.

You’ll use advanced diagnostic tools, stay organized with mobile apps, and communicate clearly with drivers and dispatch. We offer a competitive hourly rate, weekly pay, and benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
• Strong communication skills.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and fix issues quickly.
• Put expertise to work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Road test vehicles to ensure quality of repairs.
• Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
• Maintain a company-issued service truck and perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Collaborate with the team to support each other.
