Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking skilled diesel and trailer technicians to provide on-site maintenance and repairs for Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and a wide range of repairs at customer locations, with DOT inspections and parts management integral to daily duties.

We value experience with heavy-duty vehicles, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work extended hours, including weekends when needed. CDL is preferred and tools are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience.
• 1 year of performing DOT inspections required.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Reefer repair experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, able to work extended hours including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must possess proper tools.
• Must be able to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers (brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical, engine components, exhaust, after-treatment, lift-gates, tires).
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/replace vehicle/trailer components as needed.
• Open and close repair orders on company device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and related documentation in a timely fashion.
