Job summary

Honey Bucket is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic based in Taylor, TX to support our fleet across Central Texas. The role involves on-site service calls, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance, with duties spanning inspections, repairs, and DOT checks to keep equipment on the road.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial fleet maintenance, own tools, and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred). We offer employer-paid medical, dental, vision, a 401k match, and weekly pay in a full-time,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years practical experience in commercial fleet maintenance.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• CDL is preferred.
• Welding certification and fabrication experience is preferred.
• Must have own tools and be proficient with trade tools.
• Basic computer skills to input maintenance records and diagnose equipment.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot and keep vehicles in good condition.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Use diagnostic tools and manuals to diagnose and repair diesel engines.
• Repair drive train components including transmissions, clutches, drive lines and differentials.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and components.
• Perform DOT inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Stay current with job knowledge via training and manuals.
