Job summary

Honey Bucket is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic based in Taylor, TX to service our fleet across Central Texas. You will perform on-site calls from Taylor and work with Shop leadership to coordinate scheduling and support.

The role requires at least 5 years of fleet maintenance experience, a clean driving record (CDL preferred), and the ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines using laptops, scanners, and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years practical experience in commercial fleet maintenance.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license required.
• CDL is preferred.
• Welding certification and fabrication experience preferred.
• Must have own tools and be proficient with all tools of trade.
• Basic computer skills to input vehicle maintenance records and run diagnostics.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues and ensure vehicles are in proper operating condition.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance services.
• Utilize diagnostic tools including laptops, scanners, and wiring diagrams to diagnose and repair diesel engines.
• Repair and replace drivetrain components including transmissions, clutches, driveshafts and differentials.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and components.
• Perform DOT inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Stay current with job and technical skills through ongoing training and publications.
