Honey Bucket Inc. in Taylor, TX is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain our fleet across Central Texas. Based in Taylor, you will handle on-site service calls and collaborate with Shop and PC leadership for scheduling and support.

The role requires 5+ years of commercial fleet maintenance experience, a clean driving record, and own tools. CDL is preferred; welding certification and fabrication experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial fleet maintenance.
• Clean driving record and valid license; CDL preferred.
• Own tools and proficiency with trade tools.
• Welding certification and fabrication experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills to input maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
• Use diagnostic tools including laptops, scanners, and wiring diagrams to diagnose and repair diesel engines.
• Repair and replace drive train components including transmissions, clutches, drive lines and differentia.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and components.
• Perform DOT inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Maintain safe and organized work area.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date by training and reading technical publications.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulations.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Mobile Mechanic - Taylor, TX

We’re looking for a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to support our fleet across Central Texas — from Taylor, TX to San Antonio, TX. Based out of Taylor, TX, you’ll handle on-site service calls and keep our equipment running strong, working closely with our Shop and PC leadership for scheduling and support.

• Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour (DOE)
• Schedule: Swing Shift (2PM-10PM) OT and weekend work as needed
• Status: Full-Time, Year-Round
• Pay Frequency: Paid Weekly
• Benefits: Employer paid medical, dental, vision and 401k

Day in the Life:

As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a vital role in keeping our fleet on the road. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues and ensure vehicles remain in proper operating condition
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance services
• Utilize diagnostic tools including laptops, scanners, and wiring diagrams to diagnose and repair diesel engines
• Repair and replace drive train components including automatic and manual transmissions, clutches, drive lines and differentia
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and components
• Perform DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
• Maintain safe and organized work area
• Maintain current knowledge of job and technical skills by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications
• Adhere to NWC Safety Policies and follows all applicable laws and regulations
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years practical experience in commercial fleet maintenance. In addition, we will consider the following qualifications when reviewing applications:

• Applicants must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license
• CDL is preferred
• Welding certification and fabrication experience is preferred
• Must have own tools and proficient in all use of all tools of trade
• Basic computer skills to input vehicle maintenance records and diagnosis equipmentAbility to work effectively with minimal supervision
