Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is seeking experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanics for the Grifton, NC Lumber Mill. Starting pay is $32.16 per hour.

You will perform service, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on mobile equipment used in lumber manufacturing, with opportunities to fabricate parts and support maintenance for forklifts and loaders. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, valid driver's license, and 2+ years of heavy mechanical repair experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years heavy mechanical repair experience or equivalent.
• Experience reading schematics and parts breakdown.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete paperwork.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heat exposure.
• Able to work with limited supervision.
• Must be able to work any shift, weekends, overtime, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform service/ preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repair/maintain mobile equipment for lumber facility.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair engines, air brakes, running gear, hydraulics.
• Fabricate parts by riveting, bolting, welding or braze; replace as needed.
• Fabricate, cut, shape, and finish various materials.
• Perform periodic service/PMs on forklifts, loaders and related equipment.
