Job summary

Weyerhaeuser in Grifton, NC is seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright for a weekend shift (Fri–Mon, 6:00am–4:30pm). Starting pay is $27.13 per hour with a $3 weekend adder. Responsibilities include skilled mechanical maintenance, installation, cylinder repair, and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.

Safety lockout and housekeeping are essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, one year of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED plus maintenance experience.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems preferred.
• Skilled in root-cause analysis and repair planning.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled mechanical maintenance and installation tasks.
• Repair and maintain machinery including motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues related to equipment and follow lockout procedures.
• Lubricate, clean parts, plan maintenance, and weld/ fabricate as needed.
• Work independently or in a team and be prepared for a weekend schedule.

DescriptionWeyerhaeuser is currently recruiting for an experienced Industrial Millwright at the Grifton, NC Lumber Mill.The starting pay range for this role is $27.13 per hour based on experience + $3.00 weekend adder for Sat. & Sun. This may include, but not limited to, such equipment as motors, pneumatic, hydraulic and conveyor systemsSome troubleshooting and exposure to industrial electricity issuesMust also determine and carry out maintenance of repair actions required to return the equipment to effective operating conditionsMust lubricate and clean parts, perform maintenance planning, layout work, welding and metal fabrication as requiredFollow and adhere to safety lockout procedures and strictly adhere to plant safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environmentMust be able to work independently as well as in a groupWilling and able to work a straight weekend scheduleWilling and able to work holidays on an as needed basisQualificationsMust be proficient in the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and test instrumentsExperienced in pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systemsExcellent skills in root cause analysisSkilled in more than one aspect of mechanical maintenanceHigh school diploma or GEDStable employment history with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Industrial Maintenance field OR equivalent education to include vocational/technical school certificateEligible to work in the United States without sponsorshipGood communication skillsMust be team orientedCommitment to follow all unit electrical/maintenance practicesWillingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipmentAbility to work in extreme heat and coldWillingness and ability to learn new jobs and skillsAll applicants are strongly encouraged to upload a resume detailing education and job historyMust be able to work weekends.
