Job Description:

The Mobile Diesel Technician II will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and other duties. The Technician I supports with repairs and learns advanced skills under supervision. Work is frequently audited for quality, and high performance is expected.

Responsibilities include:

1. Perform scheduled maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various trucks.
2. Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck systems and components.
3. Manage parts inventory and operate company vehicle safely.
4. Document work and upload photos using company tools.
5. Complete forms accurately and timely.
6. Work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
7. Use hand tools, diagnostic instruments, welding equipment, and lifts.
8. Follow safety policies, conduct vehicle inspections, and maintain company equipment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED, up to 2 years related experience.
• Set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT background and physical screening.
• Valid driver’s license; must be at least 21 years old.
• Safe driving record (3-year MVR review).

Certifications:

• Required within 18 months: ASE T8 (PMI).
• Preferred: ASE T4 (Brakes).
