Job summary

The Rush Enterprises Rush Truck Leasing division seeks a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to service diesel trucks at client locations, perform diagnostics, maintain equipment, and ensure safety and quality. You will read job orders, follow manuals, and document work in the system.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inventory control on service trucks, after-hours availability, and clear communication with customers. A CDL, valid Medical card, and 5 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician.
• CDL and Medical card required per FMVSS.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and follow daily assignments.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Read job orders and diagnose malfunctions using manuals and diagnostic equipment.
• Document work in the company computer system.
