Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA, seeking a CT Technologist. The role delivers high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience in a mobile setting.

Requires ARRT CT certification, radiologic technology training, and at least 1 year radiology experience. We offer competitive hourly pay with shift differentials, a sign-on bonus, and relocation support for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRTR certification (Radiography) is required.
• ARRT CT certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining dose optimization (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep clearly using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams with contrast as per protocol, using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and release patients.
• Document timely and accurately in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support department flow.
• Support regulatory compliance and report issues to supervisor.

Education

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

ARRTR (Radiography)

ARRTCT – ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
