Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group seeks a CT Technologist for the New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA. This full-time role performs CT imaging, ensures patient safety, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a mobile setting.

The position requires ARRT certifications (Radiography and CT), 1 year radiology experience, and a commitment to ALARA and patient-centered care. Join a mission-driven system delivering health services across Georgia.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT (Radiography) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Maintain infection control and clean/stock rooms and equipment.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients prior to exams.
• Explain procedures and manage patient anxiety using clear communication.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol and use sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
