Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group's New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient-centered care. The role emphasizes safe procedures, adherence to ALARA, and collaboration with a mobile unit team.

Ideal candidates have ARRT certifications and at least 1 year radiology experience, with a commitment to documentation, patient comfort, and safety in a fast-paced mobile setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients using AIDET to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and re-image if needed.
