Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group’s New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA is hiring a CT Technologist. You will perform CT procedures, ensure image quality, and deliver excellent patient care in a mobile unit setting.

The role requires ARRT CT and Radiography certifications, BLS, and at least 1 year radiology experience. Join a supportive team focused on patient safety, ALARA principles, and efficient workflow within a mobile imaging environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRTR (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification.
• BLS certification per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and independently while maintaining ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and use two patient identifiers for each exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care to reduce patient anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique as needed.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
