Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA seeking a CT Technologist. You will perform CT procedures, deliver high-quality imaging, and provide a supportive patient experience within a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRTR (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT CT certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsabilités

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment independently and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and postcare clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and lifesupport equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements.
