Job summary

Collaborative Support Programs of NJ seeks a Peer Support Specialist to join the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Team in Middlesex and Union counties. The role uses lived experience to provide crisis care through a peer lens and to connect individuals with ongoing mental health services.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, de-escalation, safety planning, and follow-up contacts. A valid NJ driver’s license is required, and bilingual abilities are a plus; High School diploma with 2+

Qualifications

• REQUIRED 1 of the following: CRSP-Certified Recovery Support Practitioner, CPRS-Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, NCRPSS-National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist, Certified Wellness Coach or Community MH Associate Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate support, crisis intervention, and promote mental health and wellness.
• Collaborate with individuals to identify strengths, goals, and areas for skill-building.
• Provide linkage to ongoing community mental health services, and initiate follow-up contacts to ensure further crisis diversion.
