Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to provide compassionate peer support, crisis stabilization, and outreach across community and clinical settings. You will assist, advocate, and empower individuals in recovery, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.

The role requires a credential from WA DOH, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in recovery from a mental health condition or substance use disorder.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist Credential OR Trainee Credential from WA DOH; apply for Trainee within 90 days of start.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, pass vehicle screening, and be willing to use a personal vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing treatment interventions and stabilization during acute crises.
• Provide peer support, advocacy, and ongoing encouragement to clients in various settings.
• Identify services and activities that promote recovery and reduce stigma.
• Maintain client records and documentation in a timely, confidential manner.
• Travel to see clients in the community and between work sites.
