Job summary

Thresholds is seeking a Mobile Crisis Worker to respond to mental health crises as part of the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) in Chicago. The role involves crisis line calls, safety assessments, and connecting individuals to services, with the option for face-to-face intervention alongside a Peer Engagement Specialist.

Candidates should have a relevant clinical background, be at least 23 years old, and hold a driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate and 5 years of supervised clinical experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field and 2 years of supervised clinical experience
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field

Responsibilities

• Respond to mental health crises in the Uptown, Lakeview, and North Center communities
• Answer calls to the crisis hotline and conduct safety assessments
• Connect caller to services or provide face-to-face intervention with a Peer Engagement Specialist
• Offer follow-up to clients and document services provided
• Engage in professional development and community outreach efforts
