Job summary

Youth Villages is seeking a Crisis Response Counselor to provide mobile crisis assessment and intervention for youth up to age 18 in home or community settings. The role involves collaborating with families and partners, documenting in an EMR, and maintaining flexibility to meet crises as they arise.

Requires a Master’s degree in a social services field and licensure prospects (LMSW/LCSW/LPC/LMFT) preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social services discipline.
• Licensure prospects (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or pursuing licensure preferred.
• Experience working with at-risk youth and/or families (volunteer, internship, or paid) preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provides mobile crisis response and thorough, strength-based assessment of youth and families in crises.
• Utilizes crisis respite homes when appropriate.
• Provides ongoing treatment and intervention to support youth and family until services are secured.
• Collaborates with other crisis teams and community partners.
• Attends regular meetings for professional development and clinical supervision.
• Documents accurately in an EMR system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
