Job summary

CraneWorks, LLC in St. Louis, MO seeks an experienced Shop Crane Technician (Utility/Aerial) to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of crane equipment, from mobile cranes to knuckle-boom trucks. You will rely on electrical and hydraulic skills to ensure OEM-compliant operation.

The role requires hands-on testing, reading manuals and drawings, and strong safety discipline. Overtime and travel are possible, with a focus on quality service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician.
• Ability to read operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skills and aptitude test will be required as part of the interviewing/hiring process.
• Capable of diagnosing defects by operating and inspecting cranes.
• Ability to perform tasks with or without direct supervision while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain various crane equipment.
• Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects.
• Maintain safety procedures and complete accurate reports and time sheets.
• Travel for field tech work 1–4 day intervals as needed; overtime/weekends may be required.
• Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication with clients.
