Job summary

CraneWorks, LLC in Brighton, Colorado is seeking a Shop Crane Technician to join our Service department. You will inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain diverse crane equipment, including mobile cranes, with emphasis on electrical and hydraulic systems.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of mobile crane experience, strong reading of manuals and drawings, and the ability to work independently. Travel and overtime are expected depending on workload and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician.
• Ability to read operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Capable of working independently and with overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects.
• Work with CANBUS, PAT, ECOS, LICCON, and other control systems.
• Inspect parts for damage using micrometers and gauges.
• Read operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and drawings.
• Test mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic systems after repair to ensure OEM specs.
• Prepare for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy.
• Maintain safety compliance and complete reports, time sheets and work orders.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication.
• Travel 1–4 day intervals for field techs; overtime as needed.
• Shop work 40–50 hours/week; field 40–80 hours/week.
