Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Crane Field Service Technician/Mechanic to service customer sites across the region. You will diagnose issues, order parts, and perform in-field repairs on a variety of heavy equipment brands.

The role requires travel, strong mechanical and hydraulic/electrical skills, and a commitment to safety. You will document repairs, maintain tools and parts, and provide exceptional customer service at job sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience diagnosing and repairing manlifts or similar aerial equipment.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and manual repair equipment.
• Must provide own hand tools and maintain any company-required tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain manlifts including articulating, vertical, and telescopic models.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections per manufacturer guidelines.
• Document repairs, parts orders, and service logs accurately.
• Travel to customer sites and communicate clearly with customers and team.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle and tools.
