Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Crane Field Service Technician/Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment at customer sites. You will operate a mobile service vehicle, order parts, document repairs, and ensure safety and quality on every job.

Requirements include a high school diploma and two years’ experience with manlifts or aerial equipment, plus ability to read hydraulic/electrical schematics and use diagnostic tools. Relocation, uniforms, and training are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience diagnosing and repairing manlifts or similar aerial equipment.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized repair equipment.
• Must provide and maintain a set of hand tools and any special tools required by the company.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required based on job responsibilities.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card.
• Ability to work overtime, travel overnight, and work weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of manlifts and aerial equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify issues.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance following manufacturer guidelines.
• Prepare accurate repair reports, parts orders, and service logs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle and tools.
• Deliver professional customer service and clear communication at job sites.
• Participate in training programs to stay current with tools and methods.
