Job summary

Anchor Co-Living is seeking a Community Safety Specialist to travel between assigned homes, conducting safety, wellness, and compliance checks. The role responds to incidents, documents observations, and escalates concerns per policy, ensuring calm, respectful handling of resident needs.

The position requires sound judgment, steady presence, strong observation, and de-escalation skills, with the ability to debrief with management and clinical resources when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related field education is a plus.
• Experience in residential services or similar people-centered environments.
• Ability to remain calm and communicate effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Travel among Anchor homes to complete safety, wellness, quality, and policy checks.
• Observe homes’ conditions, resident well-being, and safety practices.
• Respond promptly to resident concerns, disturbances, and incidents.
• Use trauma-informed communication and de-escalation to resolve issues.
• Identify hazards and policy deviations; follow up as needed.
• Elevate concerns within policy; involve management or clinical resources when necessary.
• Document observations and actions clearly while protecting resident privacy.
• Support managers with guidance and follow-through on safety standards.
• Coordinate with leadership to assign and resolve open items.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement for safety and quality.
