Job summary

Rapids- is hiring a Commercial Foodservice Technician to install, maintain, and repair equipment used by restaurants, schools, hospitals, and cafeterias. This is a service truck role; you will work independently and own your calls, becoming the customer’s primary contact.

You will handle ovens, grills, fryers, steamers, dishwashers, refrigeration, and ice machines, troubleshooting issues on hot and cold sides. Expect driving locally and field-based work in Marion, IA.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years repairing commercial foodservice equipment, with real time on both hot side and cold side.
• Strong electrical, gas, steam, and refrigeration troubleshooting; read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or appliance repair training preferred.
• EPA certification and/or CFESA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair commercial foodservice equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair ovens, grills, fryers, steamers, dishwashers, refrigeration units and ice machines.
• Explain repairs and costs to customers in plain language; close out work orders on a mobile app.
• Keep truck stocked and organized; be prepared for the next call.
• Work independently and own your calls; travel locally as needed.
