Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician to service restaurant equipment for clients across our network from the Toledo area and beyond. You will diagnose and repair cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and related equipment, reading diagrams and schematics as needed.

You will install parts, coordinate with manufacturers, and maintain documentation while promoting additional Smart Care services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned.
• Immigration sponsorship not provided for this role.
• Preferred: CFESA, EPA certifications; commercial refrigeration or cooking equipment repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with restaurant and hospitality managers to offer comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware‑washing, and other equipment.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, reading diagrams and schematics.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment including cooking, refrigeration, ware‑washing, and other equipment.
• Communicate with manufacturers to assist with diagnoses and parts identification.
• Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for on-site support.
• Install ordered parts promptly and per policy.
• Promote other Smart Care services to customers as needed.
• Produce accurate work orders, receipts, and inventory records.
• Maintain safe work practices and accident prevention.
• Maintain a neat service vehicle and proper parts/tools inventory.
• Maintain productivity per company standards.
