Job summary

Beitzel Corporation is seeking a skilled Civil Services Foreman to lead field operations across industrial and construction projects. This hands-on leadership role requires experience in civil construction, mentoring crews, and readiness for overnight/out-of-town work in a mobile environment.

The role involves supervising crews, coordinating resources, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. A strong ability to read drawings and train others is essential.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to effectively lead crews to complete project specific tasks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Civil and Excavation Services required.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and create appropriate execution plans.
• Proficient in the use of small equipment and the ability to train others.
• Ability to create and maintain a positive and inspirational working culture that promotes positive employee morale.

Responsibilities

• Oversee crews and perform project tasks to ensure safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
• Determine and communicate personnel, equipment, and supply needs to Managers within the Civil Group.
• Oversee and perform duties such as moving/unloading trucks, operating heavy machinery, cleaning equipment, and handling general labor.
• Read and scale drawings to determine grade and layout using current technology.
• Prepare daily production reports, receipts, photos, and other paperwork for accurate records.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and organized.
• Assist, coach, train, and guide other field personnel as needed.
