Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care in Maryland seeks a patient-focused Physical Therapy Aide to support physicians and therapy staff. You will assist pre- and post-care, measure vitals, and help with modalities while documenting progress notes.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, and about a year of office experience in a PT or chiropractic setting, with travel to multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State Certification or enrollment to become State Certified within one year.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification required to be maintained.
• 1 year of office experience in physical therapy or chiropractic care.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients pre- and post-care by the D.C.
• Take vital signs of patients.
• Perform physical therapy modalities as directed by the D.C.
• Document modalities and patient progress notes clearly and legibly.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms.
• Monitor controls on physical therapy equipment.
• Launder towels, gowns, heat pack covers, etc.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Assist in general office operations including filing, prepping charts, answering phones, patient registration, posting charges, scanning, etc.
• Travels to other locations as directed to maintain adequate coverage for quality patient care.
• Assist in maintaining office in neat, clean and orderly fashion.
• Perform other duties as directed and/or as necessary.
