Job summary

Texans Together seeks a Transportation Specialist to provide safe, reliable transport and supportive care for children, youth, and families. You will ensure safety, meet basic needs, and deliver trauma-informed interactions during transportation and related activities.

The role requires travel up to 75% of the time, strong documentation skills, and respectful collaboration with caseworkers and staff in diverse communities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year of full-time social services, clerical, or related DFPS experience.

Responsibilities

• Observes and/or supervises parent-child visits and ensures a safe, supportive environment.
• Provides safe and reliable transportation for children, youth, and families to appointments, visits, placements, and other required destinations.
• Attends to clients’ basic needs during transportation and supervision, including obtaining meals when necessary.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation of client contacts and services in IMPACT, COBRIS, and other required systems.
• Maintains transportation and appointment schedules and coordinates service requests with caseworkers and supervisors.
• Provides supervision and support to children awaiting placement, as assigned.
• Demonstrates respect for cultural diversity and maintains professional, trauma-informed interactions with clients, coworkers, and other stakeholders.
