Job summary

St Pjs children's home in Texas is seeking a Transporter to coordinate and implement transportation services for unaccompanied alien children (UAC) to their release destinations. The role includes escorting and delivering children safely, communicating travel plans with sponsors, and reporting transportation issues to the Assistant Program Director.

The transporter must be on-call as needed, follow agency policies and safety protocols, and participate in crisis management when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in the child welfare field or related social services.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and current vehicle liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchase of travel tickets and communicate travel plans with sponsors.
• Maintain supervision and ensure safety and well-being of UAC while in transport.
• Anticipate transportation needs and coordinate efforts to complete.
• Ensure vehicle registration and insurance docs are available in vehicles.
• Ensure transport documentation complies with policy and standards.
• Maintain safety and well-being of children, including crisis management when necessary.
