Job summary

ABM is seeking a Mobile Building Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial and biotech facilities in North County San Diego. The role covers preventive maintenance, repairs, and operations across multiple properties, with travel between Carlsbad and Sorrento Valley using a company vehicle.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and life science environments, along with strong operations and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Experience in commercial, biotech, or life science facilities preferred.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve building systems issues to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
• Support life science, laboratory, and commercial office environments.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and infrastructure.
• Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance situations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders in CMMS.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
• Travel between properties using a company-provided vehicle.
