Job summary
ABM industries in North County San Diego is seeking a skilled Mobile Building Engineer to support commercial and biotech/life science facilities across Carlsbad and Sorrento Valley. This semi-mobile role handles maintenance, repair, and preventive care of critical building systems while traveling between properties using a company vehicle.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical maintenance, and general building operations, with preferred background in biotech
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with HVAC systems and preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience with general plumbing and electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve building systems issues to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
- Support life science, laboratory, and commercial office environments.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and building infrastructure.
- Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance situations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders through CMMS systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, building codes, and company standards.
- Travel between assigned properties using a company-provided vehicle.
