Job summary

The role emphasizes energy efficiency and high-quality service. You should have 5+ years in commercial building maintenance, 2+ years in a senior engineer role, and strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, BAS, and fire/life safety systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Technical certifications or an associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
• 2+ years leading maintenance teams or as senior building engineer.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, fire/life safety.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex building systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, manuals.
• Proficient with CMMS or maintenance management software.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision and implements preventive maintenance and repairs at the facility.
• Schedules emergency repair activities by priority and staff abilities.
• Provides technical guidance in electric theory, mechanical systems, safety procedures.
• Conducts equipment inspections, ensures proper maintenance per AES standards.
• Implements and documents the quality assurance program for the department.
• Maintains and repairs buildings, utilities, grounds, and equipment.
• Optimizes HVAC, electrical, and plumbing system maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and repairs to keep operations running continuously.
• Trains and collaborates with engineering team members.
• Promotes energy conservation and continuous engineering improvement.
• Records data in logbooks and daily entries.
• Performs utility and equipment tests.
• Complies with codes and department policies.
