Job summary

Colliers is seeking a Roving Building Engineer to maintain and enhance the reliability of client properties. You will manage preventive maintenance, address service requests, and ensure safety and efficiency across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

You’ll bring at least 3 years of building maintenance or engineering experience, solid HVAC/electrical/plumbing knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to be on-call.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in building/property maintenance or engineer experience.
• Solid working knowledge of HVAC systems/maintenance, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems and other building mechanical equipment.
• Flexibility to be on-call to respond to after-hours / weekend emergency requests.
• A valid driver’s license
• Clear motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent communications skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily operating logs for HVAC, fans, charts, meters, and complaints.
• Handle building systems and tenant requests efficiently at minimal cost.
• Coordinate contractor, tenant, and management approvals for work orders.
• Demonstrate understanding of operating procedures and chemical treatment for cooling towers and boilers.
