Job summary

UG2 is seeking a highly motivated Mobile Building Engineer / Facilities Technician to support a growing portfolio of commercial properties across the New York metropolitan area. This is a mobile, on-the-go role, not a stationary engineer.

You will travel between client sites using a company-provided vehicle, perform inspections, preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and respond to emergencies. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with property managers are essential.

Qualifications

3+ years in building maintenance, facilities operations, or related fields.
Proven ability to perform routine repairs and maintenance independently.
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
Capable of troubleshooting and determining next steps.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled property inspections using digital checklists.
Inspect exteriors, roofs, mechanical spaces, electrical rooms and other accessible areas.
Carry out preventive maintenance and minor repairs within licensing limits.
Respond to on-demand service calls and emergencies to protect client properties.
Coordinate with property managers, owners, and vendors as needed.
