Job summary

UG2 LLC is seeking a Mobile Building Engineer / Facilities Technician to support a portfolio of commercial properties across the New York metropolitan area. The role operates as a “technician in a truck” mobile service, traveling between locations to perform inspections, maintenance and minor repairs.

The ideal candidate is a versatile, self-motivated professional who communicates with property managers and ownership representatives, and helps shape the growing mobile engineering program.

Qualifications

3+ years experience in building maintenance or facilities operations.
Hands-on and able to perform common repairs independently.
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
Familiar with mobile apps, smartphones/tablets and digital work orders.
Strong communication and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

Perform property inspections and preventive maintenance using digital checklists.
Carry out minor repairs to plumbing, lighting, electrical and carpentry tasks.
Monitor building systems and assist with troubleshooting on site.
Document conditions, actions taken and notify management as needed.
Travel between client properties in UG2 service vehicle and manage orders.
