Job summary

Bond Health in New York is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist for our Intensive Mobile Treatment (IMT) program. You will engage participants using harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and stage-wise interventions to support readiness for change within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes person-centered care, coordination with housing, shelter, and criminal justice services, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• LMSW or LCSW licensed in New York required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Available to work mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to travel in the community via public transportation.
• Fingerprint clearance by NYS Justice Center required.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess participants to develop person-centered treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling using Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment approaches.
• Advocate and liaise for participants within criminal justice and shelter systems.
• Coordinate discharge planning with jail/prison, inpatient, or ER staff when involved.
• Provide harm reduction services, integrated substance use treatment and relapse prevention.
• Complete thorough, timely documentation of all contacts.
• Utilize motivational interviewing and trauma-informed approaches when delivering services.
• Collaborate with participants, families and community partners to promote treatment and recovery goals.
