Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mobile Building Automation System (BAS) Technician to support hospital facilities in Central Texas. You will maintain and optimize Trane BAS across 10–12 sites, travel routinely, and partner with on-site BAS Engineers to ensure energy efficiency and reliable operations.

The role requires 4–5 years BAS experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to travel; a valid driver's license is required. CBRE offers a challenging, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school with 4–5 years of BAS exp.
• In lieu of a diploma, experience and education combination considered.
• Healthcare facilities experience preferred.
• Proficient with Trane BAS systems and energy optimization knowledge.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities on mechanical/electrical systems.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support BAS programs across electrical, mechanical, life, and safety systems for energy optimization.
• Travel to 10–12 Central Texas hospital facilities using company van.
• Collaborate with onsite BAS Engineers and facility teams to meet design standards.
• Evaluate BAS operations and monitor energy consumption for improvements.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and document work orders accurately.
• Implement routine maintenance to reduce energy use; troubleshoot Trane BAS systems.
• Assist with BAS software integrations and testing of system performance.
