Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Sr. Building Engineer in Frisco, TX to ensure optimal performance of hospital building systems. You will lead maintenance workflow, oversee preventive programs, coordinate external vendors, and ensure regulatory compliance for a safe, reliable facility.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, extensive maintenance experience, and BAS proficiency to optimize energy efficiency and system uptime for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school acceptable with relevant experience.
• Shift supervision or lead experience is required.
• Able to meet physical requirements and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with facility maintenance and regulatory standards is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance workflow and assign work orders to on-site team.
• Perform advanced hands-on maintenance across mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Ensure continuous operations and high safety standards for the hospital facility.
• Manage external vendors and coordinate on-site service delivery.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and track equipment lifecycle.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and diagnose efficiently.
• Utilize BAS to monitor and optimize building performance and energy use.
• Prepare accurate time/material estimates for repairs and maintain inventory.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and CBRE safety standards.
• Inspect work by contractors and sign off on inspections for fire systems, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Mentor and coach colleagues; lead by example per CBRE values.
