Job summary

Torque by Ryder is urgently seeking a permanent full-time Automotive Technician to support our truck fleet in Houston, Texas. This role offers weekly pay and an hourly rate of $35.00 based on experience, plus a retention bonus paid quarterly during the first year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Professional diploma preferred.
• Three years or more in combination of classroom training and work experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, inspect and perform preventive maintenance for non-contractual customers.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance including tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and related components as needed.
• Operate mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards within the region.
• Maintain documentation of work orders and repairs in Salesforce.
